Our spot-light this year is on bones and muscles!
“Hands-on –X- ray” and “Measure Muscle”
The activities have been expertly developed, and complement research being undertaken within the MRC, LEU Unit under the leadership of Professor Cyrus Cooper.
- Come along and make a model of the bones in your hand using some special modelling material and test your grip strength using a dynamometer.
- Find out about what types of exercise you can do and what healthy foods you can eat in order to keep your bones and muscles strong and healthy as you get older!
- Check out our website after the event and see how your muscle strength compares to people of your own age and gender. It will be displayed on a huge graph!
- Enjoy a great, fun-filled, free day out for all the family!
