Wendy Johnson

Administrative Assistant

I joined the SWS team in 2004 after being at home for 12 years bringing up my 2 boys.

My primary roll is to book the appointments for the nurses to follow-up all of our SWS participants in the study. As the children have now reached 11-13 years old it can be quite challenging as many attend after school extra curriculum activities and clubs. Young people these days also have such active social lives! We try our best to be accommodating and arrange these appointments for after school, on some Saturdays and during school holidays.

Unfortunately over the years we lose contact with some participants so please if you have not heard from us in a while, contact us on our free phone number 0800 7834503 and we will get in touch. There is always the possibility that the study will continue for a number of years.

It’s great to think that the findings of this study will impact on people’s lives for generations to come. It is a legacy of improved health for our children and our children’s children.
