Research Nurses

There are eight qualified research nurses in the Southampton Women’s Survey who work on the children’s follow up team. Between us we have a wide range of experience i.e. midwifery, child and occupational health, learning difficulties and general nursing. Our role within the SWS is to visit mother and child in their own home to collect data and measurements pertinent to the child’s age. During these visits we have developed many new skills such as dog handling, snake charming and rescuing laptop/paperwork from enthusiastic siblings or paddling pools!
