ALSPAC (Avon Longitudinal Study of Parents and Children)

The SWS has strong links with the ALSPAC cohort which is based in the Bristol area.  The mothers in the study were recruited in the early 1990s and the children have been seen on many occasions.  Some of them now have their own children who are also being studied.

LifeLab is a purpose-built facility for school students to learn about the importance of their health for themselves now, in the future and for their future children. LifeLab was in part inspired by findings from the SWS, and the students who attend LifeLab learn about the SWS.
