Dr Elaine Dennison

MB, BChir, MA, FRCP, MSc, PhD
Reader & Honorary Consultant in Rheumatology

Dr Dennison trained at Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge before moving to Southampton in 1992 to undertake a medical rotation. After completing MRCP, she was awarded a Wellcome Training Fellowship in Epidemiology, and was granted her PhD 'Determinants of bone loss in a Hertfordshire population' (performed under the supervision of Cyrus Cooper) in 2000. She accredited as a consultant in rheumatology in 2002. She is currently continuing ongoing research into the interaction between genetic factors/ early environment and adult lifestyle in the determination of risk of osteoporosis.

Elaine's secretary is Lynn Reeves.
